Removal of Skin Tags, Moles, Birth Marks & Warts
Skin tags and moles can be removed quickly and easily with the KTP laser, or the CO2 Fractional laser.
KTP laser is most commonly used for skin tags and smaller to moderate size moles. The treatment usually takes anywhere from 20 to 40min. Discomfort is minimal. Many compare the treatment to the sensation of an elastic band snapping against the skin.. Healing time is usually 3 to 10 days.
The Co2 Fractional laser is used for larger sized moles. This procedure is quick and easily tolerated. Cream anesthetic or injections to numb the area can be given prior to treatment. Recovery time is usually one week to ten days.
The Pulsed Dye Laser is used to eradicate warts, usually with just one treatment. Anaesthetic is injected prior to treatment so you should allow for a 30 minute appointment to allow for sufficient numbing.
Birthmarks and "Port Wine Stains" may be treated with either KTP, IPL or PDL lasers depending on the color and depth.
