As we age, skin changes occur on 2 levels - on the surface of the skin, and below the skin. Most non-medical treatments target the most superficial levels, resulting in exfoliation and smoothing of the skin. True rejuvenation means making the skin more youthful on a cellular and intercellular level. Think of it like doing a real renovation instead of just "painting the walls".
The KTP and V-beam lasers are very effective on the top layers to take care of skin discoloration and abnormal textures. The fractional ablative CO2 laser stimulates new collagen production under the skin, resulting in skin tightening and lift. Carbossitherapy involves injection of carbon dioxide gas under the skin that alters cellular metabolism. Those who have looked into dietary change to alkalinize the body already know how this affects health. Carbon dioxide injection causes localized pH changes that favour alkalinity, resulting in better blood flow and thickening of the skin to promote a more youthful appearance.
SR formula is a Canadian product that is a blend of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and cytokines (immune stimulators) that is injected into and under the skin to stimulate growth and strengthening of thinning, sagging, translucent skin. Patients with side effects to corticosteroids (like prednisone) have reported dramatic improvement in their skin with SR treatment.
